So Cain started his first ever full day of school last week. The first day went really well - no tears at all. But the third day was a different story. I think just the all day schedule had caught up with him, he was tired. And the newness of it had worn off already so day three was crying - from both of us. He did great the next day though so crossing my fingers for tomorrow.

or so to speak. I have decided to follow along with Brittany's September writing prompts - I am not going to promise to do every single one every day but I am going to try and get to as many as I can. Hopefully it gets me back into the blogging mode when I am not feeling it.
Day #1 - You are having a dinner party,
which 10 famous people would be on your guest list?
I think I would have to say some of my favorite celebs would be Kristen Bell - Mindy Kaling - Tina Fey - Kristen Wiig - Jimmy Fallon - Justin Timberlake - Kelly Rippa - Louis C.K. - Amy Poehler - and long time favorite Julia Roberts :)
So Cain just turned 5 and he couldn't be prouder of that. He tells anyone he sees that he's 5 now. He also lets me know often that he can jump higher and run faster now that he's 5 :) He is so incredibly smart (I know all parents say that) and funny. Always asking questions that I can't believe his little mind is thinking of these things and making jokes (that make no sense what-so-ever but with such conviction). He has learned to ride his bike with no training wheels which is another big accomplishment in our house. He has really started to become so brave in things he once shied away from.
He loves Ninja Turtles, going to the movies, swimming, riding his bike, jumping on the trampoline, and playing made up games he thinks of in his room with his stuffed animals and toys. He is still a tiny guy but gained 3 pounds and 2 inches from his last years checkup. He is still a good eater - I really can't complain about his eating habits at all. He still likes drawing/painting and his imagination runs wild in his art. I love it. He also still loves all things animals - Wild Kratts is one of his favorite shows.
Tomorrow my little guy starts all day school. I'm super excited for him because I know he'll do great. I am also super sad to have to share him and his days/adventures. I hope we prepared him enough. I hope he is nice and kind. I hope he sticks up for himself. I hope he is helpful. I hope if he is scared or nervous he asks for help. I hope he grows and is allowed to be the amazing person he is growing into. I don't want his dreams, personality, his ideas to ever be crushed. I hope he can open all his stuff at lunch time. I hope he can work his belt on and off as well as he's been able to do at home. I hope he doesn't for one second feel unloved! I know I'll be doing the ugly cry tomorrow after I drop him off - oy vey.
